{ Seafood Appetizer }

Makes 6 skewers
Source: Bev Medland

Just a thought:

Bev writes: "I looked for suggestions to deal with scallops in 'Joy of Cooking'. They suggested soya sauce and sugar.  I therefore proceeded to design my own recipe, as we make wine....  I tried it on a few good friends and they loved it...."

Bev suggests that "moaning is allowed."  I can see why.

Ingredients:

     12 large fresh sea scallops
     12 raw shrimp
     5 oz salmon fillet (skin removed)
     1/2 cup icewine
     1/4 cup soya sauce

1.  Cut the salmon fillet up into good size cubes, peel shrimp, wash scallops

2.  Marinate seafood in icewine and soya mixture for 1 hour.

3.  Thread seafood on to short wooden skewers.

4.  Broil for 3-4 minutes each side.
